Is ASTROGLIDE safe to use with condoms?

Petroleum based product like Vaseline, baby oil or mineral oil can break down the latex in condoms, increasing the risk of pregnancy or STD’s. In addition, moisture creams and lotions can interfere with the vaginal pH levels, and can cause irritation and yeast infections.

Is ASTROGLIDE safe to use during pregnancy?

Pregnancy hormones spiking your sex drive? Use caution when getting it on. Formal studies have not been conducted to test the safety of personal lubricants during pregnancy. Please consult with your physician before using ASTROGLIDE during pregnancy.

Can ASTROGLIDE cause irritation?

ASTROGLIDE does not contain fragrances, colourings or other ingredients that are common irritants. However any topical products can cause irritation. If you feel that you may be sensitive to one of the ingredients, test the personal lubricant on a small patch of skin. If irritation occurs, please discontinue use. Can ASTROGLIDE cause yeast infections?

While some women’s journals cite personal lubricants containing glycerine as a source of yeast infections, this is not true. In fact, some yeast infection cures contain glycerine. However an existing yeast infection can be made worse by products containing a large percentage of glycerine. This is because the sugars in glycerine act as a food source for the yeast.

Are there animal products in ASTROGLIDE?

Can ASTROGLIDE be used with a spermicidal lubricant?

Like any personal lubricant, ASTROGLIDE can dilute the effectiveness of the spermicidal products. It’s best not to use a personal lubricant when using a spermicidal product like jellies or sponges. ASTROGLIDE is safe to use with condoms, provided they are not coated with a spermicidal lubricant.
